WORLD FLIGHT 2010 THE ART OF FLYING
GENERAL INFORMATION
COMMUNICATION DURING A FLIGHT
- 122.550MHz is a frequency that allows us to communicate privately during a flight, especially when ATC service is offline. All pilots are requested to set this frequency as COM2 radio and monitor it constantly during a flight to be able to receive important text information. Voice communication on this frequency is available to. Please use voice.euroutepro.com/mm channel to be able to contact us on voice. Sending tons of private messages during a flight is not recommended. Please use the 122.550MHz frequency instead.
PILOT'S BREAFING CHECKLIST
ROUTES
- Each pilot is responsible for the route he is flying. Routes written below are just our suggestions. We do not have any RNAV/GPS equipment so all our routes are based on local navaids. If you have an RNAV device or GPS feel free to use it and plan a different route. - Our routes will be published no later than 24 hour prior to each departure. - Routes, dates and timings may change no later than 24 hours prior to departure. Please recheck this Flightplan before your flight. Remember to check local NOTAMs and weather forcasts as well. - Detailed routes and navaid information might be posted in THIS topic.
FLIGHT LEVEL
We give you all links to local VACCs so you could check yourself a proper flight level for your aircraft and for a specific area. Please do it before each flight, not during a flight. Flying and a wrong flight level is not only dangerous but also a shame!
SCENERIES
Sceneries shown below are freeware and payware sceneries for FSX that we will use ourselves. You are free to use other sceneries. Please keep in mind that using default airport sceneries is not recommended as they might be very unrealistic. In case you use a default scenery, please park your aircraft far away from other participants. For alternate airports it is not required to have any sceneries installed. Please keep in mind that FSX geographical position differs from FS2004 even with the same scenery installed. The effect is almost invisible on the equator but in Greenland or Alaska the difference could be very large (over 100m). For your own convenience, when flying in nothern areas, try to park close to other pilots who use the same version of flight simulator.
CHARTS
Obtaining proper charts (AD, ENR) is essential for every pilot. We don't care if you use them in a web browser or you have them printed - there will be no excuse for no charts on board! Remember that there are also alternate airports - knowing at least a frequency of its local navaid might be very useful. Linsk to all required charts are provided below. You might need to register on some websites.
FLIGHT BOOKINGS
We do not recommend making any flight bookings for the event. This time we will not make any bookings in Euro-book system as well. Most of small airports are not included in the system anyway. We also don't recommend using software like FSPax as it might get confused in some locations.

DEPARTURE TIME
Departure time is presented in UTC time zone format and it is equivalent to airborne time. This is not block-off time! You might start your flight preparations 20-30min earlier to be able to take-off at departure time. Please check a time difference between your local time and UTC time in your country/region.
ETE
Estimated Time Enroute is calculated for our Beechcraft 60's cruise speed, which will obviously depend on selected flight level. The cruise speed will vary from 180TAS to 230TAS. Taking-off at a similar time is a priority to landing at the same time. When flying in a group, it is our custom to wait for the rest of the group after landing. Some of participants usually make group photos on the ground.

ATC summary Percent of ATC service we received to what we requested and expected. Expectations depended on FIRs' popularity and reputation. There was same way of promotion of our event - info e-mail to each division (at least 2 weeks prior to departure/arrival) and up to 2 reminders sent to division directors and event coordinators before our arrival.
