EPMO Modlin version 2 is a highly detailed scenery of EPMO Modlin military airport located north of Warsaw, Poland. This scenery is designed for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004. EPMO Modlin is a payware scenery however there is a fully functional demo scenery provided that you can use for any online and multiplayer flying. This is a second version of EPMO Modlin airport - the old version is no longer available for purchase. The new version is free for all who bought the first version of this airport.

Airport history:

• The airport started to be constructed around 1937 and first served as a grass strip for Luftwaffe and Soviet Army. In ~1950 two large hangars were built as well as a large concrete runway. For many years Modlin airport was used as the Aviation Training Center for Polish army and served 38th Training and Combat Air Force Regiment and 45th Experimental Air Force Squadron. In 2000 the Ministry of National Defence handed the airport over to the Military Property Agency.

• Currently EPMO Modlin is recognized as a disused military airfield, located 35km from Warsaw city downtown

• On 10th September 2009 the Mazowiecki Governor signed an agreement allowing to start a construction of a new terminal. EPMO Modlin is expected to become a regional passenger airport for low-cost carriers in 1012.

Installation:

• The scenery is equipped with an automatic installer

• Currently we support a safe, manual way of adding new sceneries to Scenery Library in Flight Simulator. This is just one thing a user need to do himself.

Scenery features:

• Compatible with FS2004 (FSX version is a separate product)

• Accurate geographic positioning, modelling and texturing

• High quality photoreal textures of all airport buildings. Textures are based on over 300 real world photographs made for this project. We appreciate very much that we were given a permission to make pictures for couple days in that area with no limits

• Some buildings include interior (old terminal used as a control tower, some military shelters)

• High quality ground textures of the aiport area are included (5 seasons+night).

• Product includes AI traffic file and customly designed airport charts in PDF format

• There is a free demo version of EPMO Modlin airport available. This ensures no problems with online (VATSIM, IVAO) and any multiplayer flying in case some users have the payware scenery and some don't

Compatibility:

• This scenery is compatible with all currently existing payware add-ons for this area including Ultimate Terrain Eastern Europe and Warsaw Photo Scenery by Simdesign

• We are not able to guarantee a compatibility with all freeware add-ons. If there are some issues, please visit our forum.

• This scenery is alligned to precise sattelite images and geographic position may differs from FS default road and railroad design. Having UT Eastern Europe installed (freeware upgrade for UT Europe) is reccomended for the best visuals.

Demo:

• Demo version of Warsaw Airports 2009: EPMO Modlin is actually a fully functional freeware scenery, perfectly alligned to the full payware version. This ensures no problems with online (VATSIM, IVAO) and any multiplayer flying in case some users have the payware scenery and some don't.

• All buildings modelled as in the full version, covered with 128x128 resolution textures instead of 1024x1024.
