EPBC Babice is a highly detailed scenery of general aviation airport located 10km WNW of the downtown of Warsaw, Poland. This scenery is designed for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004. EPBC Babice is a payware scenery however there is a fully functional demo scenery provided that you can use for any online and multiplayer flying.

Airport history:

• EPBC Babice used to be a military facility. Before 1918 it was occupated by Russian and German air forces. In 1918 the Institute of Aviation Research was established (later it became Technical Aviation Institute). During the World War II the field was probably used as a grass strip. After the war the aerodrome was taken over by Polish military and a large military base was created. The facility did not appear on Warsaw maps until late 70s. The military base had two concrete runways used by varios jet aircrafts and fighters. One of them is still partly used (1.3km from a total lenght of 2.5km) and the other one became a Powstancow Slaskich street (it was 2km long).

• EPBC Babice aerodrome is currently serving mainly Warsaw Aeroclub, Air Rescue and some executive air taxi companies. The airport has one concrete and one grass runway. The concrete runway is available for night operations. Babice is recognised as a quite dangerous aerodrome due to its localization - its in a very centre of the city and there were lately some tragic accidents. There are some plans to demolish the airport and make a residential area instead.

• The scenery is equipped with an automatic installer

• Currently we support a safe, manual way of adding new sceneries to Scenery Library in Flight Simulator. This is just one thing a user need to do himself.

• This scenery is compatible with all currently existing payware add-ons for this area including Ultimate Terrain Eastern Europe and Warsaw Photo Scenery by Simdesign

• We are not able to guarantee a compatibility with all freeware add-ons. If there are some issues, please visit our forum.

• This scenery is alligned to precise sattelite images and geographic position may differs from FS default road and railroad design. Having UT Eastern Europe installed (freeware upgrade for UT Europe) is reccomended for the best visuals

• Special landclass file is provided for default scenery users

Demo:

• Demo version of EPBC Babice is actually a fully functional freeware scenery, perfectly alligned to the full payware version. This ensures no problems with online (VATSIM, IVAO) and any multiplayer flying in case some users have the payware scenery and some don't.

• Gmax-designed runway, taxiways and aprons

• Most of buildings modelled as in the full version, covered with 128x128 resolution textures instead of 1024x1024.

• AI traffic included
